Revisiting Old Character

I'm actually considering making this into a Youtube Cartoon.

A fun character I made the other day.

Crossover with a Friend

A friend of mine, Crystal, started a little Role Play with me and we ended up creating an entire little story around my image.

The original story goes like this.

I chose a grave amongst my enemies to save you from their wrath. I now lay in the depths with them far from the light of liberty. I will never taste the fruit of freedom, but when you eat it think of me. Deep beneath the water cold among my hated foes.

Kervak held the damaged detonator tightly. It wasn’t completely inoperative but it was messed up enough to keep it from sending a long range signal. That meant that whoever detonated it would have to remain.

Looking at the refugees as that passed, Kervak saw mothers with their children. A few badly wounded Commonwealth troopers were being carried. If the Grakons got a hold of them they wouldn’t stand a chance.

Knowing what had to be done Kervak worked her way to the rear of the group as the hurried across the high bridge. Green lasers sparked at the heels of screaming children.

Kervak remembered how much her human faster parents had given her and it was time to give back. This was the best opportunity for her to repay them for their kindness to her.

She found a small hiding place and crouched down holding the detonator in both hands.

The last of the people left the bridge and Grakons began passing Kervak quickly, their tanks rattling the structure. With a sigh Kervak pressed the button.

The last thing she remembered was a bright flash and what seemed to be a driving wind blowing her as the ground gateway beneath the unsuspecting Grakons.

The entire Grakon unite sank to the bottom of the deep mountain river Kervak along with them.

It was a long time before the people realized that she wasn’t with them. It was then they discovered how heroic the lone Gurk mercenary was. She was willing to give her all for them and that is what she did.

Then my friend had her Character, Rover the space cowboy,  jump in for the rescue! After struggling to get Kervak breathing again, Rover managed to give this story a happy ending.

After the Role Play we both decided to draw pictures from the crossover story.

Here are two that she did. I really love the dramatic elements to these!!!

Then lastly I drew Rover trying to hear Kervak's heartbeat.

Awesome Stuff!

An awesome friend and Super Strike 10 fan sent me a picture of himself drawn as a Rygol.

So I couldn't help but draw him up in an action pose!

 

Also I did a redraw of a scene from the comic with Scout and Rita as people. It's quite fun re-imagining them this way. 

A few more sketches and drawings.

Since I did a human version of Scout I thought it would be cool to do Rita as well.

Also I did a redesign on Scout's eyes. It makes her look a bit closer to her original design.  

Busted out my ol' color pencils and sketch pad again. It's been way too long.

 

 A friend of mine has an awesome steam punk comic and I've been enjoying reading it. She has a really neat style too! So I couldn't help but try my hand at it.

Human Scout!

Some of my readers had asked what Scout would look like if she was a person. One of them even drew a picture of her. So this inspired me to draw her up. 

I'm really happy with the way she looks. She makes for an interesting character.

Here I redrew a picture I had done of her underwater with her human counterpart.

This is for a contest that I entered somewhere else online.  The theme was "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends."

This is a contest entry and not Super Strike 10 Canon! Kervak is still alive in the story.

Grakon

I wanted to try out some new lighting techniques and am quite happy with the results.

I'm loving how big and bad the Grakons are looking in the new style. I mean just look at that guy's feet! Those claws are massive!

I'm steadily trying to perfect my art style and have been quite pleased with the results thus far.

I hope everyone is having a good week. At least a better one than that Grakon is.

The new Super Strike story is on the way!

I'm working on the concepts for my upcoming installment of Super Strike 10. 

I am going to draw this one in a more classic comic style and have been experimenting with converting all my old characters into this new style.

I decided to bust out the old pens and color pencils last night and drew some Centaurs!

I really like how this character turned out. 

Super Strike 3 Trailer in the Works!

For those of you that have been following Super Strike, I have something exciting to share with you.

I am currently putting together an animated comic trailer for the third installment of the Super Strike comic series.  It will give you an idea of what the new story will bring.

Starting the new year with art!

I drew some more of those crazy aliens called Vilos. They do seem to be a sort of Napoleonic sci-fi. I like that.

Recently I've been experimenting with changing my style for my Super Strike comic. It seems that the story is getting more serious and deeper.  I've had some fans tell me that a more realistic style would fit it better. So I sketched out some concepts.

 

Seeing how cool they looked  I started thinking about what they would look like if they were in a live action movie so I did some digital paintings/photo-manipulation.  I used some stock photos to go from on these.

I also experimented with the expressions for the more realistic style.

 

 

Lastly I put together an underwater scene with Scout in the new style. I like how it turned out.
